Spencer Boyd in Armour
Spencer Boyd was the brother of Alice Boyd and the 14th Laird of
Penkill. He died in 1865. William Bell Scott had already been
making visits to Penkill for a number of years at this time. The
photograph was part of a collection of photographs which came from
Penkill Castle.
