The Poor Law Magazine for Scotland

The Poor Law Magazine was published for Parochial Boards and institutions who were responsible for the administration of poorhouses and asylums and the distribution of poor relief.  The journal, published monthly, provided articles and reports from around Scotland of ongoing issues of the day, often quoting individual cases and problems encountered.
