Dumfries Museum Exhibition Down the Dock: The Dock Delineated 15 September - 3 November 2012 Expanding on this year’s foyer exhibition, Down the Dock, this gallery exhibition traces different aspects of Dumfries’ Dock through paintings, drawings, photographs, maps and plans. This small, but highly significant, piece of land is probably the most frequently illustrated view of Dumfries, reflecting just how much of the town’s history is contained there.

SIX INTO TWELVE PLUS HORNEL

North Museum, 21st Jan - 12th May Tuesday - Saturday 11am - 5pm (Admission Free). Edward Atkinson Hornel (1864-1933) was a member of that loose association of young Scottish artists active towards the end of the 19th century who we now know as ?the Glasgow Boys?. Along with his close friend and collaborator, George Henry, Hornel was arguably among the most experimental of the painters within this group.
