Textile Exhibition from June 2007 - Arts/Crafts Commission

The second of three touring exhibitions created as part of the Future Museum project will be on Textiles and will be launched at Rozelle House, Ayr in late June 2007. The exhibition will travel to a number of major venues in each partner region, throughout 2007 and into 2008.  In support of the exhibition will be an Arts/Crafts commission to illustrate contemporary textiles in south west Scotland, or inspired by the history of textiles in the south west.

Winter activities at Dumfries Museum

Following a year of events to mark the anniversary of the killing of the Red Comyn but Robert the Bruce, there is a final chance to reflect on this momentous period in Scottish history.

 

The killing took place in February 1306. Robert the Bruce was crowned King of Scots in March but by November of the same year he was forced to go into hiding. Find out more at Dumfries Museum.
