World War II War Savings Plaque (1)

'Wings for Victory Week' was a national fund-raising programme held between the 1st and 8th of May 1943. Each British county was set a target for the sum of money they should try to raise, with the districts within each county being set individual targets to make up the total amount. Commemorative plaques like this were awarded by the Air Ministry where targets were reached.
