Clytus, Betsy Miller's Ship

The Clytus was Betsy Miller’s ship. It was named after a French man-of-war wrecked off the east coast of Scotland about 1793. Its timbers were salvaged and the new Clytus built. It took 14 men to crew her and she sailed the trade routes between Saltcoats and Ireland until 1900.
