Gavin Hamilton's House, Mauchline

From DO Hill's series 'Land of Burns'.   The white building was the home of the lawyer Gavin Hamilton, Burns' friend. It was he whom William Fisher accused of fraudulantly keeping money from the poor as recorded in the poem 'Holy Willie'. To find out more about this poem visit Explore a Poem.
