Dumfries Burns Club, 1938 - Its Second Appeal

Detail of an appeal to raise funds for the refurbishment of Burns Mausoleum, by Dumfries Burns Club.   This large format scrapbook contains newscuttings, photographs and printed material.  It has been constructed using thick uncut sheets bound with decoratively tied brown leather laces.  Calligraphy is by the artist James G Jeffs.  The scrapbook features the Burns Club motif on the front cover.
