Burns Centenary bottle, 1896 (1)

This bottle issued by Daniel, a Dumfries chemist, depicts Burns' Mausoleum in St Michael's Churchyard, Dumfries.  It was produced to commemorate the centenary of Robert Burns' death in 1896.  The clear glass bottle has a cork stopper.   The centenary on 21 July 1896 saw national celebrations to mark the poet's life and achievements.
