Peter Blake - Alphabet - Stranraer Museum
A Hayward Touring exhibition, Alphabet, by Peter Blake has arrived at Stranraer Museum as part of an extensive UK tour. Alphabet is a set of bold and colourful silkscreen prints, one for each letter of the alphabet, produced by the artist in 1991.

Discover the history of Queen of the South F C at Dumfries Museum
An exhibition tracing the history of Queen of the South F C opens on Friday 25 April at Dumfries Museum. Originally compiled with the help of Ian Black, Curator of the Queen of the South Museum, this display of photographs, programmes and personal memorabilia formed part of the “Homes of Football” celebration in 1999. In view of the club’s recent success, museum staff thought visitors would welcome another look.

Strands at Dumfries Museum
“Strands - the Story of Textiles in South West Scotland” opens at Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura on Saturday 15 March 2008. The exhibition explores the wide range of textiles created in South West Scotland, from fleece to finished garment, from raw flax to linen damask and from delicate hand embroidered Ayrshire needlework to intricate machine lace.

John Halliday Paintings
Paintings by John Halliday from his own and private collections, illustrating his creative career of over 50 years, are on show at the Maclaurin Galleries until 12th January 2008. We are pleased to have the opportunity to show the range of Halliday 's work at Rozelle, which he knew as a private house, and welcome his return to a familiar place. Over 100 works are on display – many on loan from private collectors, while others are offered for sale.
