as part of the 1839 - A Gothic Adventure exhibition, the stunning location of Dean Castle (Kilmarnock) features as part of its tour a new display which explores the history of the medieval tournament from early, brutal mock-battles to the organised pageantry of later years.

Both access to Dean Castle Country Park and the Castle Tour itself are free.
