Reviresco - A New Role for an Old Tree!

In spring 2009 the staff who maintain the museum gardens noticed evidence of rot beneath the bark of our rare tulip tree. We hope that it will form the basis of an exciting new sculpture by local chain saw artist, Rodney Holland.

A Taste of Spring Fling at Stranraer Museum

Spring Fling is an annual event which highlights the remarkable range of arts and crafts produced in Dumfries and Galloway. This year Spring Fling will see over 80 participants across the region open their studios to the public over the weekend of 29-31 May. It is an opportunity to buy direct from an artist, watch your favourite maker at work or have a great day out hopping from studio to studio.
