'Special Issue Unsere Welt Sportsday' . This programme belonged to Edmund Eylert, a German prisioner of war held at Carronbridge Camp. He worked in the chemist's shop in Thornhill and did labouring jobs for local families. The programme contains translations in both English and German. Contents include an introduction to the sportsday, a brief history of the camp, sport played in the camp and stories of the life of prisoners. The prisoners orgainsed concerts and sporting events like this after the war while they were waiting to be released.
