File of newspaper clippings and correspondence relating to various societies interested in Robert Burns. Also contains items of correspondence between Mrs Nellie Kristiansen and the Burns Federation.

 

Nellie was the wife of Arnlijor Kristiansen, a merchant seaman who joined the Norwegian Army at Dumfries in 1940. Arnlijor married Nellie in June 1941, at a ceremony held in Norway House at Burns Statue. When the war was over the couple settled in Bergen, where Nellie was an active member of the town's Burns Club.
