Crossbow Bolts

Description:
These steel tiped wooden bolts, or quarrels still have remnants of wooden flights at the base of their shafts. They were most commonly made from ash or yew. Crossbow bolt flights are usually spiral in order to spin the bolt in flight on the same principle as a rifle bullet. These particular bolts are military and would have proved lethal at about 250 yards.
