17th C. Lead badge inscribed 'Dean Castle 1652'

This token was found on the beach at Ayr in 2004. On one side it is inscribed with the words "Dean Castle 1652 " and on the other are the figures of a man and a woman. There is a hole at the top through which a cord might have been passed. The woman seems to be churning butter while the man is holding a jug or other vessel out for her to fill. He also seems to be in armour, so it may have come off supplies being delivered to Cromwell's fort at Ayr ultimately bound for soldiers at Dean Castle.
