Description:

This General Officer's Sabre has a hilt based on a Marmeluke design which was adopted by officers of both Britain and France during their respective Egypitian campaigns.  It was said that if people noticed that your sword had one of these eastern ivory hilts then they knew you were an officer of some importance.
