Description:

Stone with circular socket on each face. The socket shows clear indication of rotational wear, possibly from an item such a rotating shaft from an unknown mechanism, such as a mill wheel or potter's wheel. A side of the socket on one face is broken, and the piece seems to have been then turned over and used on the other side.
