Stone axehead from Bolivia

Description:

A stone axe from Bolivia received into the Selby collection in 1927.  Plane fibre or rope was lashed round the groove to attach the axe to a handle.

 

The label reads "Left by Sirionos Indians in attack on Rubber Pickers in Huach Rubber Estate (Anglo-Bolivian Rubber Co.), October 1927".
