Description:
This mace has a head made from steel with sixteen angular flanges. A wooden handle is fitted into the steel shaft.

This type of head with extremely angular blades is typical of Turkish and East European maces. In these lands maces were used not only as weapons but also to indicate that the owner held a position of authority.
