Description:
This dulcimer is decorated with painted flowers and has two pierced roses made from vellum.  It is contained in an outer case with a laquered, yellow interior.  The case is also decorated with flowers.  Dulcimers were played, not by plucking the strings as you might expect, but by stricking them with little hammers.
