Wine glasses of Dumfries Burns Club

These wine glasses, along with the punch bowl, silver ladle and serving mugs were purchased by Dumfries Burns Club at the time of its foundation, in January 1820.  The items were used annually in the events to celebrate the birth of Robert Burns.   All the glasses have similarly engraved thistle borders and an oval field bearing the inscription, "Burns".
