Coilsfield

From DO Hill's series 'Land of Burns'.   Coilsfield, located 6 miles outside of Ayr, was the seat of the Montgomeries. Mary Campbell, 'Highland Mary', is thought to have worked at Coilsfield as a dairy maid. The figure of woman walking in the foreground of the image is wearing a milk maid's bonnet.
