Jean Armour

When he married her, Burns described Jean as "…the handsomest figure, the sweetest temper, the soundest constitution and kindest heart in the country".  The only portraits of Jean taken from life were done when she was over 60.  We have no representation of the young woman who caught Burns' eye.
