Oddfellows sash worn by a 'Grand' official

A red silk sash with gold braid trimming used by the Wigtown Oddfellows.  The gilt bronze letter 'G' shows that the sash was worn by the branch or regional 'Grand', one of the society's top officials.  The medallion with gold sashes represents the Independent Order of Oddfellows Manchester Unity, one of the most important orders and the one to which the Wigtown branch belonged.
