Copper plate for printing Seven Trades admission tickets. The text is written back to front so when it is printed it reads correctly.

The plate reads:

At Dumfries the [blank] day of [blank] in the year one thousand eight hundred and [blank] the grand committee of the Seven Incorporations of Dumfries as testimony of their respect unanimously admitted and received [blank] a Freeman and Full Brother of the said Incorporations, with liberty to exercise and enjoy every privilage as fully as any other Freeman does, may or can enjoy. Extracted from the Books of the said Incorporations by [blank], Clerk.
