Wigtown Communion tokens

Oval lead tokens allowing the holder to attend Communion at Wigtown Parish Church.  One side is stamped WIGTOWN 1816.  The other is stamped with a reference to 1st Corinthians XI: "so then, everyone should examine himself first, and then eat the bread and drink from the blood for if he does not recognise the meaning of the Lord's body when he eats the bread and drinks from the cup, he brings judgement on himself as he eats and drinks."  These lines from the Bible refer to the act of Communion.
