Zorst Vacuum Cleaner

This very early vacuum cleaner was made by the Zorst company in Birmingham. There is a pole type handle missing from the top, by which means the operator would move the bellows back and forth to create a vacuum . The operator would have his (more probably her) foot on the small platform to steady the device. The metal pipe on this example has been cut short.
