Set of bell weights, Burgh of Dumfries, 1707

Description:

5 of a set of 6 bell weights, 2lb, 4lb, 7lb, 14lb, 28lb, (56lb not pictured), Burgh of Dumfries 1707 (in the sixth year of the reign of Queen Anne).  Verification stamps are present around the rim below the handle, on top of the handle and on the base.  The weights are inscribed with Queen Anne's crown and are countermarked 'D.LK' for issue by Lanark.  The 1lb weight is missing from this set.
