Hornblendic granite
Rectangular specimen block.
The specimen has been roughly shaped into a rectangular block as is standard in mineral specimen collections. It has one earlier catalogue label stuck on it, reading - 'A1596', and was presented to the Stewartry Museum in 1893 as part of a collection of 17 specimens by T R Bruce of Dalshangan.
