Turner's of Ayr Beer Vessel

This Turner's vessel for ale was found in a garden in Lochwinnoch. A.M. Turner took over the Newton Brewery in Main Street, Newton-on-Ayr in about 1880.  By 1914 Turner's Ayr and Newton breweries extended from this site over the river to Mill Street and South Harbour Street.  The firm also manufactured aerated waters.
