Awarded to Gunner H Craig, Royal Artillery.  Inscription around edge:   '116702 GNR H Craig R A'   The British War Medal was a campaign medal awarded to individuals who served in World War I.  It was authorised in 1919.  Campaign medals were awarded to those who saw service overseas.
