Louis XV Millefleur tapestry

Description:

A 'Millefleur' tapestry is characterised by its background motif of many small flowers, of which this is a perfect example with a twisted ribbon of flowers flowing around the whole piece. The centre of the tapestry is woven forest trees in shades of blue and green.
