Description:

This cup hilt rapier has aspects of its hilt pierced with foliage patterns as well as a carved depiction of a man on horseback. The grip has a carved woven effect with a pleated trim below the foliage detailed pommel and pommel nut. The quillons and knuckleguards have a simplistic stylish design.

 

The blade was made in Solingen city in Germany which has been coined the "City of Blades" as it has long been renowned for the manufacturing of fine swords.

 

The blade of the sword is stamped with the word "MEFECIT" which in Latin translates to 'he made me'.
