Description:

Wooden hafted 17th centiry battle axe of likely Hungarian origin. The steel axe head has a pronounced beard and pick, and its face is etched with a scroll design. The battle axe was a popular melee weapon on the field of combat as it was often cheaper and quicker to rpdouce than a sword.
