Shield of The Hon. H. Gage
The Earl of Eglinton commissioned Samuel Pratt of No.47 Bond Street, London, to produce this shield and the others which would hang above the martial tents of the knights taking part in the Eglinton Tournament in 1839.
The Hon. H. Gage was a participant from Sussex and entered the lists as The KNight of the Ram.
